Stitch and a Prayer Store to purchase this design.
Ten of your
favorite design companies have joined forces to create a limited-edition
collaboration sampler, A Most Noble Pursuit. This sampler is
scheduled to be released at the Nashville Needlework Market in February
2006!!
The designers involved in this project are Ann and Liz of Brightneedle,
Kathy of Carriage House
Samplings, Tracy of Hands
to Work, Lori of La D Da,
Tricia of Patricia Ann
Designs, Susan and Pam of Praiseworthy
Stitches, Cathy of Primitive Traditions,
Vicki of A Stitch and A
Prayer, Ellen of With My
Needle, and Candy and Mary of The
Workbasket. Each of the ten designers has designed a block. The
blocks can all be stitched to make a very large sampler or the blocks can be
stitched individually. All ten charts will be packaged together with a
photograph of the stitched piece on the product cover.
Sampler Details This is a large sampler—408 stitches
wide by 242 stitches high.
Linen The model uses 36-count hand-dyed
linen from Lakeside Linens.
Lakeside Linens will be offering a custom-sized cut in 36-count Light
Examplar. This cut will be available in both the standard and vintage
versions. Please contact your local shop for purchasing information. The cut
size before dyeing will be approximately 27 x 20 inches. This does NOT allow
for the usual 6 inch margin on the width, it will be closer to 4
inches which is ample if you are not planning on matting your sampler.
If you prefer a larger margin, we suggest you purchase a half yard cut which
is approximately 27 x 36 inches and work this project with the selvedge at
the top or bottom edge.
Threads Our model is stitched using Needlepoint
Inc. silk threads. Mark of Needlepoint Inc. will be
assembling special thread packs for the sampler. DMC substitutions
will be provided on the chart.
Framing Cathy Campbell of Primitive Traditions
will be framing the model in one of her beautiful hand-grained frames. Ask
Cathy about making one of her frames for your sampler.
